Kathy OMeara is an experimental artist who collects ephemera and detritus to create collages, assemblages and sculptures. Her work is inspired by an interest in the cycles of life, decay, rebirth, and archaic communications in the form of signs and symbols. She creates her own signs and symbols to narrate stories based on her life experiences. Her current subject matter often portrays women’s experiences in contemporary culture seen thru the lens of history.
