“By using a layering technique with acrylic paint thinned with medium, I achieve a softer appearance with paints that would normally be opaque. This produces a painting with a more realistic look. I enjoy painting portraits of animals and people and love the challenge of capturing the likeness as well as the spirit of the person.”
