“I work with a wide range of materials and formats, punctuated by periods of peaceful drawing from nature. My background includes two-dimensional art, illustration, cartooning, and fiber arts. My current series of work involves interpretations of the forests and lakes that surround my house and studio. I observe the light and shapes of the foliage and paint loose, wet watercolors from memory. The fluid blobs and splashes then inspire larger abstracted visions of nature.”
The 800 block of Church Street is best reached via a left turn off East New York or right turn off Minnesota to MacDonald Ave. Turn West on Church Street (toward downtown area) and 818 is first (and only) house on the left.
